Houston Body Sculpting

Houston Body Sculpting

As hard as you may work to maintain an appropriate diet and exercise plan, you might find you still don’t have the body you want. Men and women of all ages are troubled by problems such as:

  • Thigh jiggle
  • Chin wattle
  • Loose neck folds
  • “Love handles” or folds of flab around the stomach, hips and back
  • Fatty deposits around the knees or buttocks

But formerly frustrated patients all around the Houston area have found the solution, at last, by pursuing body sculpting (also called body contouring) in the form of liposuction or liposculpture.

Through a range of recently developed minimally invasive options, Houston body contouring done at the Advanced Plastic Surgery Center can help you achieve the body you want. These procedures enable a fast recovery time with less discomfort that traditional liposuction or body contouring procedures entail.

SmartLipo Triplex– Laser Assisted Lipolysis

Smartlipo Triplex, which also goes by the name of laser assisted lipolysis, is a particular specialty of Dr. Joseph Perlman, who was among the very first Houston area physicians to develop expertise in this technique. Smartlipo is also among the most requested cosmetic procedures available today*. Featuring a high success rate at reducing fat as well as a fast recovery time, Smart Lipo works by directing laser energy to target areas to dissolve fat.

Enhanced Liposuction

Enhanced liposuction, whether it is referred to as laser, ultrasonic or VASER lipo, works the same way. A large amount of fluid is injected through a slender tube called a cannula into a targeted region of fat via a very small incision. The fluid helps melt and dissolve fat, which is then removed through a tube via suction. Medications transmitted through the fluid reduce discomfort and potential bleeding.

Tumescent Liposuction

Tumescent liposuction is a more conventional method that does not use laser technology. It works well in areas where there is a large amount of fat to remove, such as in the thighs or stomach. In this procedure, saline fluid is injected into the site where fat cells are to be removed. This eases the process of fat suctioning. The fluid also contains medications that reduce discomfort and potential bleeding.

Tummy Tuck (Abdominoplasty)

For men and women alike, the abdomen is the single most typical place on the body for fat to accumulate. An abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck, is a routine procedure in which excess skin and tissue are removed from the abdominal area, leaving behind a more flat and well-toned silhouette. The procedure is done under general anesthesia. Patients can usually resume normal activity a day or two afterwards (though more healing time is recommended before strenuous exertion or exercise).

Lower Body Lift

Around the lower body, fat often builds up around the buttocks and thighs. Body sculpting procedures can remove loose, flabby skin and fat around the circumference of these areas to give you a tightened silhouette and a slim, contoured look.

Upper Abdomen Lift

Like the tummy area below it, the upper abdomen can develop a looseness in the muscles and a build-up of flab that are impossible to work off with weight training or calisthenics. Body contouring procedures can be applied to this area to make it firm and tight.

Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)

Arms are another place where fat accumulates, often with the appearance of flaps or folds of sagging skin. A procedure that removes the fat and tightens the skin left behind can make a huge difference in the appearance of your upper arms.
